Privacy Policy — Conver

Last updated: 16 June 2026

1Who we are

Conver ("the app", "we", "us") is a currency converter for iOS published by Maksim Aligin. For any privacy question, contact us at [email protected].

2Data we collect and where it is stored

The app is designed to work without an account. The only data leaving your device is what advertising and the App Store require:

  • Advertising & device identifiers (via Google AdMob). When you consent to tracking, the app shares your device's advertising identifier (IDFA) and related device/advertising data with Google AdMob to serve and measure ads. If you do not grant tracking permission, ads are served in a non‑personalised mode. The Google AdMob SDK may additionally collect usage (product interaction), diagnostic, crash, and performance data as described in Google's privacy policy.
  • Purchase history (via Apple StoreKit). When you buy or restore the Pro upgrade, Apple processes the transaction and the app receives a purchase/entitlement record. We never see your payment details.
  • On‑device data (not collected by us). Your currency list, amounts, calculation history, and settings are stored locally on your device only. They are not uploaded to us or to any third party.

We do not operate our own analytics or backend servers for v1.0.

3What we do NOT collect

We do not collect or access your contacts, precise or coarse location, photos, microphone, camera, health data, browsing history, or the content of your calculations. The app has no user accounts and does not use Sign in with Apple (deferred to a future version).

4Who we share data with

We do not sell your personal data.

5Tracking technologies

The app uses Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt and the Google UMP consent form. Tracking via IDFA only occurs after you grant permission. In GDPR regions, the UMP consent form gathers the legal bases required before any personalised ad request. You can change your choice at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, or via the in‑app privacy options where available.

6Your rights (GDPR / CCPA and similar)

Depending on your region you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data, and to withdraw consent to ad tracking. Because the app stores your content locally and we hold no personal account data, you can:

  • Delete all on‑device data by deleting the app, or via in‑app reset.
  • Withdraw ad‑tracking consent at any time (Section 5).
  • Request data action from our advertising/processor partners directly, or contact us at [email protected] and we will help route the request.

7Children

The app is rated 4+ and is not directed to children under 13 (US COPPA) or under 16 (EU). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided data through advertising, contact us and we will assist.

8Storage and retention

Your currency list, amounts, history, and settings are retained on your device until you delete them or uninstall the app. Advertising and purchase data are retained by Google and Apple respectively under their own policies; we do not maintain a separate copy.

9Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date here and, where significant, noted in the App Store release notes. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance.
